A weekend & Summer enrichment opportunity for curious 5- and 6-year-olds
on the campus of Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School
Monday, July 8, 2019
Sign your child up to participate in a Jurassic journey through stories, games, visual arts, and of course, hands-on learning. Dinosaurs are fascinating, but how much do children really know about them? At TJ’s Kids College, we’ll explore the lives of dinosaurs as an archaeologist and paleontologist would. We’ll look at bones, discuss features of different species of dinosaurs, and learn about how they survived for thousands of years. We’ll also discuss dinosaurs that still live among us today.

Join our Early Childhood faculty as we explore the water cycle and meteorology! Children will explore the three main stages of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation through hands-on activities and story-telling. Students will also learn to identify different types of clouds, and how each type contributes to weather patterns. Let’s explore Earth’s most precious resource together.
Learning with LEGOs

Join us for hands-on learning with Legos! Legos provide a multitude of opportunities for childhood development including motor skills, spatial skills, language skills, and problem solving ability. In this Young Scholars session, students will use Legos to learn about volume, quantity, symmetry, and patterns. Students will also read fun books and work with their parents to construct their own Lego creations.
Tuition is $15 per child, per session.
Enrollment is limited, so register for these sessions early.
