A weekend enrichment opportunity for curious 5- and 6-year-olds
on the campus of Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School
Saturday, March 9, 2019
9 – 11 a.m.
Join your friends for a morning of fun and exploration. In this hands-on course, we will use our five senses to explore the world around us. Students will use their eyes, ears, hands, nose and even their taste buds to discover more about their environment. Join our faculty as we take a nature walk to explore how our senses help us to discover what lies around us. Our taste buds will get a workout too, as we learn to interpret where, on our tongues, we taste different foods. Children will leave knowing that they rely on their senses to keep them safe and to help enjoy life to the fullest!
We Love Bees

Did you know there are 20,000 types of bees in the world? Bring your friends as we explore how bees live, work, and support each other and their hives. We will learn about the 10 types of bees found in Missouri and discover how honey bees make honey. Students will learn why honey bees are important to the food we love, and will explore the different types of food that are produced or pollinated by honeybees. Join us and get ready to “bee” amazed!
