A native to the region, Chris Nash is at home in the Four States. He grew up in rural southeast Kansas, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Baptist University. While completing his degree, he spent time teaching English in Estonia, Latvia, and Thailand. For his Master’s degree from Missouri State University, Mr. Nash researched the role of the Ozarks and the broader American West in reshaping immigrant culture. Since joining the TJ community in 2013, his passion for history has grown through studying with leading historians at Stanford and the University of Montana. Each summer, Mr. Nash excitedly leads a hiking, rafting, and camping trip in the American West for juniors and seniors.
