Rebecca Cutler-Metzger came to TJ in 2012 and teaches Lower, Middle, and Upper School Strings and 3rd and 4th grade General Music. She also manages and teaches through the TJ Music Academy. Ms. Cutler-Metzger received her Bachelor of Music degree at Pittsburg State University, and her Master of Music degree with an emphasis on violin performance and orchestral conducting from Illinois State University. She has more than two decades of experience teaching students to play the violin and is trained in the Suzuki Violin Method through Level 3. Ms. Cutler-Metzger also holds her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification, and likes to bring techniques for breathing, calming, and mobility into her classroom.
