Originally from the Seattle area, Chip Curtis came to Joplin to join the faculty of Missouri Southern State University, where he taught math for 30 years before coming to TJ. In addition to teaching, he has graded AP Calculus exams for many years. He serves in editorial roles for publications of the Mathematical Association of America and the Canadian Mathematical Society. He is an avid problem solver, having submitted hundreds of solutions to published problems during the past 20 years.
