Originally from the Seattle area, Chip Curtis came to Joplin to join the faculty of Missouri Southern State University, where he taught math for 30 years before coming to TJ. In addition to teaching, he has graded AP Calculus exams for many years. He is an avid problem solver, having submitted hundreds of solutions to published problems during the past 20 years.
