Engaging with Our Community
The value of Thomas Jefferson extends beyond our school to the broader community where our students and faculty get involved through service projects, food drives, blood drives, and visits to nursing homes and other community organizations.
All students in the Four-States area are welcome to participate in our enrichment programs, which include Duke TIP, Young Scholars, Kids College, and the After-School Enrichment program.
Community members attend our athletic competitions and other events, including the Steven McCollum Distinguished Speakers Series as well as a number of concerts and theater performances. TJ builds pride in our community by competing in regional, state, and national academic, artistic, and athletic contests.
TJ is also important to local businesses, helping them to recruit employees from other parts of the country who value independent schools for their children. Businesses also support TJ, providing sponsorship of our athletics program, school fundraising events, concerts, speaker series, and so much more.
Beyond tuition, TJ counts on philanthropy to support our mission-driven, liberal arts, college-preparatory program. Please make a gift to help TJ continue to build tomorrow’s leaders.
