The Foundation for Success

Rigorous. Well-balanced. Captivating. That’s the kind of classical, liberal arts education you can expect at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School.

Starting in Pre-K, students engage in English, mathematics, science, history/social studies, the arts, and world languages. Each year builds on the previous so that your child develops a strong academic foundation. Physical education, athletics, and a diverse offering of extracurricular activities supplement our core academic program. TJ brings students together with expert faculty who exemplify intellectual curiosity, a dedication to truth, and the advantages of living the examined life.

Thomas Jefferson’s approach leads to extraordinary results: 100% of our graduates are accepted into the nation’s best colleges and universities. They also receive significant merit-based scholarship offers. The last five graduating classes have earned an average of more than $4.25 million.
