Early Childhood

Several exceptional faculty members. One focus: Your child’s success. Half- and Full-day Pre-Kindergarten, and Full-day 5-days-per-week Kindergarten.

Setting the Stage for Academic Success

Thomas Jefferson’s Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten program creates an ideal academic environment for your child to achieve success — now and in the future. From testing new capacities to developing an intellectual curiosity and discovering the joy in learning, your child will thrive in this mission-driven Early Childhood program.

Seven full-time faculty members — including two in each classroom for core subjects — provide the individualized and focused attention children need to fulfil their potential. These expert educators exemplify intellectual curiosity, a dedication to truth, and modeling the life skills essential to leading a healthy, happy life.

It is never too early to begin preparing your child for success in college — and in life. TJ offers a classical liberal arts education starting in Pre-K with engaging and age-appropriate lessons in English, mathematics, science, history/social studies, and world languages. Art, music, technology library, and physical education round out your child’s educational experience.

This comprehensive program helps your child develop self-confidence and the skills in core subjects and the ability to collaborate with other students, setting the stage for success in Lower School and beyond.
