TJ offers many ways for your child to develop an appreciation for The Arts.
Concert Calendar
The Arts are a valued part of Thomas Jefferson’s liberal arts, college-preparatory academic program. They are so critical to our Mission that we include formal music and fine arts training for all students beginning in Pre-Kindergarten.
We offer your child numerous opportunities to explore—and excel in—music, fine arts, theatrical performance, and drama. Your child can play an instrument, sing in vocal ensembles, participate in musical productions, and more.
TJ students earn the highest awards at district, regional, and state vocal and instrumental music festivals, and regularly earn the top awards at conference art contests — including “Best in Show,” and “Judges Choice awards. TJ graduates have matriculated to some of the most highly-selective art schools and conservatories in the nation.
Through our after-school TJ Music Academy, non-TJ students and adults in the community can take private music lessons. Our expert music faculty teach lessons in strings, voice, woodwinds, guitar, and more. See the TJ Music Academy tab below to learn more.
